Fynbos Pole manufacturing and Treatment Plant produces and manufacture a wide range of fencing and landscaping by products to the general public, contractors and bulk buyers.
We focus on harvesting Alien Pine timber called Pinus Pinaster which grows wild in the Overberg District, producing a strong timber for all structural needs.
We participate in the rehabilitation of rare types of fynbos plants and help to restore the biodiversity of fauna and flora by assisting with clearing and cleaning fynbos areas overgrown with pine trees.
We mainly produce and treat quality fencing timber to the building industry. Our clients include the Overberg Agri’s, farmers, vineyards, game fencing, landscapers, municipalities, road work and construction companies, hobbyist and DIY fundis.
We treat all our poles with CCA treatment that is SATAS approved. CCA is an acronym for "Copper, Chrome and Arsenic". The Copper and Chrome compounds in the mixture are the preservative. Arsenic guarantees that no timber-eating insects damage the poles you purchased.
All our poles are treated with CCA to level H4. In accordance with SAWPA (South African Wood Preservers Association), H4 treated poles are suitable for ground contact and periodic wetting.
A by-product from manufacturing the timber is shavings which we then supply to Equestrian Estates and Poultry farmers in the area as well as at our local Fynbos Pole Depots.
All timber products are available at Bredasdorp , Struisbaai and Hermanus Fynbos Pole Depots.
A delivery option at additional cost is available locally for small orders and as well as bulk deliveries across the Overberg and Overstrand district.
We pride ourselves on our motto of delivering a professional service and supplying customers with top quality fencing timber.
